Having experienced the robust EV infrastructure in India, it's disheartening to compare it with the situation here in Nepal. The charging stations at Mugling were out of order for weeks leading up to our trip, and despite my hopes for improvement, the situation remained unchanged even after more than two weeks. This highlights the pressing need for significant advancements in Nepal's EV infrastructure.

One of the major hurdles seems to be the lack of involvement from the private sector in the EV industry. Without proper regulations and incentives from the government to attract private investment in EV infrastructure, progress is severely hindered. NEA, as a government authority, cannot single-handedly develop a comprehensive EV ecosystem.

For meaningful progress, the government must formulate long-term and stable policies concerning EVs and their infrastructure. This would not only encourage private sector participation but also foster innovation and investment in the EV sector. It's crucial for Nepal to prioritize the development of its EV infrastructure to keep pace with global advancements and contribute to a sustainable future.
